I see TunnelBear claims no logging of users, which is great, and their prices seem very competitive. With a chromebook+VPN.the only danger is someone looking over your shoulder. In other words do your mobile banking from any public wifi you want. Apart from a "bad guy" getting physical access to your chromebook, they are as close to impossible to compromise as anything but a very secure linux machine. And, I've tried breaking it via my battle station on my wifi network.Was never successful in compromising it's security.Īlthough nothing on a chromebook should be considered "private," running a strong VPN on a chromebook grants almost perfect "security." To me, this is the best, rarely mentioned, benefit to a chromebook. Works great with torrents (use the right exit county!). It works great! Can be had for monthly rates as well as about $40/year.
